Painting like a pro

I have recently moved house and decided to make a start on painting each room, to make it more homely. I started with the living room, as I spend most of my time there. The only problem was that the previous owners had covered the walls in woodchip wallpaper, which can sometimes be very tricky to paint. My friend has recommended the Paint Pad Pro, as she had recently painted a wall covered in embossed paper and said it did the job perfectly!

The Paint Pad Pro looked so different to any other painting tool I have ever used. It was shaped like and iron and was made from a lightweight plastic, which made it really easy to use. To apply the paint you have to move the Paint Pad Pro slowly over the roller in the paint tray. You will find that just the right amount of paint is applied, ensuring smooth, drip-free application. The fact that the tool was an iron shape made it so easy to glide along the skirting board, ensuring that the edges looked neat and tidy. The Paint Pad Pro’s foam backing made it so easy to tackle the woodchip wall. Using circular hand motions I was able to paint into all of the nooks and crannies – it was just as easy as painting a smooth wall.

Not only was the Paint Pad Pro great for painting the uneven walls, but it was also the perfect tool for painting the ceiling. Normally I would have to stand on a ladder and use a roller, but the Paint Pad Pro has a hole at the top which you can screw an extension pole, enabling you to reach the ceiling with ease. I found it so easy and relaxing painting my living room using the Paint Pad Pro. It was so much quicker than I could ever have imagined and I will definitely be using it to paint the other rooms in my new house.

Keep Your Car Sparkling

Living in the countryside has its advantages – beautiful scenery, lovely clean air, but it does have its downside too. The poor roads and muddy tracks around my area mean that my car rarely ever stays clean. It is especially bad in the winter, when the weather is much wetter, making the roads all the more muddy. I don’t like driving around in a dirty car, so I constantly find myself taking a couple of hours out of my week to clean it with soap and water. I was moaning to my parents the other day about having to clean my car so much, when my dad recommended purchasing Body Shield Pro. Like many people, I am a little sceptical about so-called miracle cleaning products, but Body Shield Pro really surprised me, living up to all of its claims.

Body Shield Pro is a waterless cleaner than you can use on all parts of your car. You simply spray it all over the dirty areas, using one microfibre cloth to wipe away the dirt and another to buff the car panels, giving them a glossy finish. It is great for using on the windows, mirrors and lights – there are no smears or streaks in sight! I found that it was so much quicker to clean my car using Body Shield Pro, cutting the time down to about 15-20 minutes. Not only that, but it required far less effort, which left me in a far better mood!

I have to say that my car has never been so clean, nor has it stayed clean for so long. It has been over a week and my car still looks in fantastic condition, there isn’t a mud splash or smear in sight. As well as removing the dirt off cars, Body Shield Pro adds a protective, weatherproof layer, ensuring they stay cleaner for longer. I can’t ever imagine using anything else to clean my car and I have recommended it to all of my friends.

Summer is over

Since the summer holidays are nearly over we thought we would try and squeeze in one last trip away, before the kids went back to school. My family own a caravan in Yorkshire so we thought we would stay there for the week. It is quite a spacious static caravan, but when you have three children running around, it can feel a little cramped! We were hoping the weather would be nice so that the children could play outside, but not wanting to take our chances we thought it was best to buy a gazebo which we could attach to the side of the caravan.

After comparing various gazebos online, I decided that the Super Gazebo was the one for us. It came in a compact case, which was brilliant as it hardly took up any space in the car on the way there. When we arrived at the caravan we decided to put the Super Gazebo straight up, so we could spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to put up – it hardly took any effort at all as the concertina design did most of the work! The Super Gazebo was so spacious inside. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and we also managed to fit our garden table and chairs inside too. Despite the harsh winds, it stayed fixed to the ground due to its air vents which stopped it from being lifted up.

We had a lovely relaxing week in Yorkshire and the Super Gazebo was definitely put to good use. On the days where it rained, the children had hours of fun playing in the gazebo, and we even ate our dinner in there a couple of times too. When I told my family that we had bought a Super Gazebo, they thought it was such a great idea that they bought one to keep at the caravan. We bought our gazebo home and have now erected it in our garden. It is a great space for the kids to play in and shades them from the sun, meaning they can stay out for longer!

Tea Party

To celebrate my daughter’s 6th birthday, we decided to throw a little tea party at our house, inviting a few of her closest friends from school. With it still being summer, we decided that we would have the party outside in the garden, so the children could play on the swing set, trampoline and slide. I was a little apprehensive about the weather spoiling the afternoon, so I decided to purchase a gazebo. I thought I could turn it into a den for the children to play in, if the weather took a turn for the worst.

After comparing a few different gazebos, I decided to purchase a Super Gazebo. It stood out amongst the rest in terms of being easy to put up and providing a practical space. When it arrived I couldn’t believe how compact it was, packed away in a portable case. I found the Super Gazebo so easy to put up, which was quite a shock to me, since I normally struggle putting up things like tents. All I had to do was pull it out from each of the corners and the concertina design did all the rest of the work. I then had to secure it down with ropes and pegs to prevent the wind from lifting it off the ground.

My daughter had a lovely birthday celebrating with her friends, and for the most part the weather was delightful. We experienced a quick spell of rain, but it caused no problems, as the kids were happily eating their party food in the Super Gazebo, which I had decorated to look like a magical den.

The Super Gazebo was a worthy investment and provided a great place for the children to eat their dinner at the party. It was so spacious and airy inside and felt safe and secure at all times. Rather than packing it away we thought we would keep it up for the rest of the summer. It is a great place to do chores in the day and use to entertain guests in the evenings.

Girly Time

Last weekend my sister invited me to stay at her new house, so we could spend some time together. I was a little worried as I often suffer with back ache and I knew she didn’t have a spare bed for me to sleep on. I offered to bring my air bed that I had stored away in the loft, but she told me she had already sorted out the sleeping arrangements.

I thought maybe that she was going to let me stay in her room, however when I got there she showed me to the spare room. In the middle of the floor was a case, but no bed – you can imagine how confused I was. She told me to open it up and plug it into the wall. To my amazement the case turned into an inflatable bed! It was nothing like any other air bed I had come across before. She told me it was called the Eazy Bed and that she had seen it advertised on the television. It was so simple to put up, there was no need to hand pump it like you have to with most air beds. It also came with a sturdy steel frame, so you didn’t even have to sleep on the floor. The mattress was lovely and thick and I couldn’t wait to sleep on it!

I had such a great night’s sleep on the Eazy Bed. Often you find that air seeps out of air beds, when you are tossing and turning through the night, but this certainly wasn’t the case with the Eazy Bed, it stayed firm and supportive the whole night.

It was just as easy to deflate as it had been to inflate. All I had to do was switch it to ‘deflate’ and it sucked out all of the air in less than three minutes! I loved the Eazy Bed so much that I am actually going to buy one for when guests come to stay at my house!

Preparing for Christmas

Some people may think I’m a little eager, maybe even crazy for starting my Christmas shopping this early, but this year I promised myself I’d be more prepared. For the past few years I have found myself rushing around frantically on Christmas Eve trying to find the perfect presents for each of my family members and close friends. I have already bought presents for my brother and sister in law and for my mum and dad. I was still looking for the perfect present for my little four year old niece Hannah, when I saw the Huggle Buddies advert on the television. I completely fell in love with them, they looked so adorable and cuddly – I knew Hannah would absolutely love one.

When I went on the website there were so many different cuddly characters to choose from including a unicorn, puppy, ladybird, duck and monkey. I knew that Hannah was really into princesses and fairy tales, so I thought the unicorn would be perfect.

When it arrived I took it out of the box to check it was going to be safe to give a four year old child. I could see that it was very well made and had been hand stitched to ensure it would last longer. Hannah is forever spilling stuff on her toys and getting them dirty, so it was great that the Huggle Buddy was machine washable, so it could be kept nice and clean. In terms of appearance the Huggle Buddy was just as adorable as it looked on the advert. It felt so soft too! Not only is it a cuddly soft toy, but it also doubles up as a super soft travel pillow, perfect for taking on journeys in the car.

I’m so pleased with the Huggle Buddy I bought and I know Hannah is going to love it. It has been so hard not giving it to her early, but I can’t wait to see her little face light up when she opens it on Christmas morning!

Community work

The community centre where I take my children to play group a couple of times a week has recently had its funding cut. It had been looking quite shabby for a while and it was hoped that it was going to be re-furbished, but instead the council said there was nothing they could do at this time. My children love going to playgroup there, as do many other mums, dads and their children, some of which have become really close friends of mine. We decided to all pull together and re-furbish the community centre ourselves. A lick of paint was sure to get the rooms looking in a better condition!
I was given the main room to paint, along with a couple of other people. It has a really high ceiling, which I thought was going to be extremely hard to reach. Luckily I’d bought the Paint Pad Pro along to use. It is my favourite tool, which I have recently used to paint my kitchen and hall way. It has the precision of a brush, whilst still being quick to use like a roller. The Paint Pad Pro comes with a tray which has a roller mechanism, which you use to roll the tool over, so an even layer of paint is applied this time. There’s no mess or drips as just the right amount of paint is applied, ensuring that there is no excess falling off.
It didn’t take me long at all to do the wall I was painting using the Paint Pad Pro. I could see some of the others were spending time using masking tape to protect light switches and the skirting board. I didn’t have to use tape, as the iron-shaped tool simply glides along the edges with ease.
I was so quick to finish that I thought I would make a start on the ceiling. I had been a little worried about high up it was, that was until I remembered that I could simply screw an extension pole into the Paint Pad Pro! The extension pole was just the right length, making it easy to reach the ceiling. There was no need to use a ladder and I didn’t strain my back at all.
By the end of the day the team had finished painting the community centre and it looked great! So many people commented on my excellent painting skills, which was all down to the Paint Pad Pro. A few people are even going out to buy one themselves to paint their houses with. Over the next couple of months we’re hoping to run a few fun days and fairs to raise more money for the community centre, in hope that we’ll be able to keep it open for years to come.

Selling a car

My boyfriend and I had been saving up money that we could put towards a new car, along with the money we hoped to get for selling our current one. Since my boyfriend had to work all weekend, I decided that I would wash the car so it would look as good as possible when people came to view it. I have to admit I’m not so great at washing cars. I seem to get water and soap everywhere and spend ages scrubbing the panels and wheels only to find that there is still marks and smears on show after it has dried.

When I came downstairs in the morning, my boyfriend had left me a product called Body Shield Pro on the side, with a little note telling me to use it, as I’d be pleasantly surprised. I followed his advice and got on with cleaning the car immediately. There was absolutely no need to use soap and water, all I had to do was spray the solution onto the car and use a micro fibre cloth to wipe away the dirt. It didn’t take long before the car was looking super clean. I then took a separate, clean micro fibre cloth and used it to buff the car panels. This gave the car a high-shine gloss, ensuring that it looked as good as new!

I couldn’t believe how easy cleaning the car was using Body Shield Pro. There was no mess and it hardly took any time at all. Another great thing about the product is that you can use it on all areas of the car – even the windscreen and mirrors. Not only did it remove all the dirt and stains from the car panels, but it also left a weatherproof coat on top, preventing dirty rain water from marking the car, ensuring it stayed clean for longer. My boyfriend was so impressed with how clean the car looked, as were the people that came to look at it! I’m sure they thought it looked in way better condition than they expected and we got our full asking price for it. I’ve now got a lovely new car that I will be keeping it in tip-top condition, cleaning it with Body Shield Pro.

A country break

My husband and I had been too busy this year to even think about booking a holiday abroad, so instead we decided that we would go and stay with my parent’s for a week. Last year they moved to a house in the countryside, so we thought it would be nice to get away and have a break from busy city life. The only trouble was that although they had a spare room for us to stay in, they hadn’t got round to buying a bed for it. I suggested that we took out air bed to sleep on, however when it came to getting it out the loft, we realised that there was a big hole in the mattress, so there was no way we’d be able to inflate it! We decided to purchase a new one, as we knew it would come in use in the future, when we had guests to stay, or visited family at Christmas.

After browsing various different air beds I came across the Eazy Bed. It looked to be a league above all of the other air beds, with the ability to self-inflate within three minutes. It also came with a steel frame, meaning that you didn’t even have to sleep on the floor! This was definitely the selling point for me, as even just the thought of having to sleep on a li-lo for a week made by body ache.

When the Eazy Bed arrived we couldn’t believe how compact it was. It came in a bag that was about the size of a large suitcase. I thought there was no way it was going to live up to its claims, but after seeing it self-inflate and turn into a full sized double bed, I have to say it exceeded all of my expectations. This clever and convenient air bed is so easy to inflate. All you have to do is plug the adapter into the wall, switch it to inflate and watch as it pumps the air in. There is no need to tire yourself out hand pumping it up – much to my relief!

After a week sleeping on an air bed at my parent’s house, I was sure that I was going to be aching all over, or experience some back pain, but this wasn’t the case at all. The Eazy Bed was so comfortable to sleep on. It offered great support and made you feel like you were sleeping in a real bed. I definitely recommend purchasing one over any other air bed. The Eazy Bed will surprise you and leaving you feeling both comfortable and impressed!

Washing toys

If you are a mum, you’ll know just how much time you spend washing your children’s clothes, blankets and even their toys, ensuring they are still hygienic after they’ve been dragged around the house, taken outside, and had their favourite sticky, sweet juice spilt all over them. With this in mind, I was trying to find my two children, Katie and Ross, new cuddly teddy bears that were machine washable. Unfortunately I had to throw their two favourite teddy bears away last week, after they got covered in mud, playing at their friend’s house. I had tried to wash them, but they were such poor quality that the stuffing came out. To make up for the fact they had lost their favourite toys, I said I’d buy them a new one each, providing that they promised to take care of them. For weeks they had been dancing and singing to the Huggle Buddies advert, every time it came on the TV, so I decided to purchase two, so they could have one each.

For Kate I chose the cute and cuddly polar bear, and for Ross the cheeky little monkey. When they arrived I couldn’t believe how soft they were. They are also both machine washable and hand stitched, making them more durable, which is always a bonus! What I also liked about the Huggle Buddies was that they weren’t just your average cuddly toys. They also double up as a comfortable pillow if you undo the Velcro straps under their tummies. I knew they were going to be perfect for keeping the children entertained on long journeys, of for taking to sleepovers in a few years’ time.

Katie and Ross were both so excited when I handed them their new toys. They started jumping around the house singing the Huggle Buddy song, clutching their new favourite toys. I’m pretty sure they have taken them everywhere since they got them, and they use them as an extra comforting pillow every night when they go to sleep. I definitely recommend them to any other mum’s – when they get dirty you can simply stick them in the washing machine, without having to worry about damaging them.
