My daughter Lily has been collecting Huggle Buddies for a little while now. She already has the lamb, polar bear, monkey, zebra and puppy, along with one of the new Huggle Buddy Hideaways. Since it was her birthday I decided I would treat her to another cute and cuddly friend. Whilst browsing the website I saw that a limited edition Huggle Buddy Rainbow Unicorn had been released and knew it would be perfect for Lily. I loved how colourful the unicorn was, featuring a rainbow of pastel shades including pink, blue and green. It also had a bright pink mane which I knew Lily would love, seeing as it was her favourite colour.

When the Huggle Buddy Rainbow Unicorn arrived I took it out of its packaging so that I could wrap it back up in sparkly pink paper for Lily to open on her birthday. As with all of the Huggle Buddy products, the Unicorn was very well made and had been hand stitched to make it more durable. One of the great things about Huggle Buddies is that they are machine washable, so even if your little one decides to take them outside, you simply have to bung them in the washing machine and they look as good as new! Another lovely and unique thing about Huggle Buddies is that you can transform them from cuddly play toys, to soft comforting pillows. All you have to do is undo the Velcro strap under their tummies! They are perfect for taking on car journeys as your little one can rest their head on them when they get tired. They are also really great for sleepovers and overnight stays as you can store your child’s pyjamas or toothbrush safely in the middle of the Huggle Buddy, so they don’t lose them.

Lily was so excited when she opened her last present to find her Rainbow Unicorn Huggle Buddy. She hadn’t even realised that they had released this special edition toy, so it was such a lovely surprise for her. She has named her unicorn ‘Mystic’ and has carried it with her everywhere. It sits pride of place in the middle of her bed, amongst her ever-growing Huggle Buddy family.

My husband and I have recently moved into our new home, which we had bought for a low price, with the prospect of doing it up ourselves. We are both really into DIY, so when we saw the Power 8 Workshop, we knew we had to have it! The Power 8 Workshop has been built for professionals to use, however it is easy enough for DIY enthusiasts to work with too. We knew it would be a great investment as it would help us do all of our jobs around the house.

When the Power 8 Workshop arrived, it looked even more impressive than on the advert. I couldn’t quite believe that all of the tools and accessories could fit into such a compact, portable case. The Power 8 includes a drill, saw, spirit level, jigsaw accessory case, drill accessory case, metal protractor, canvas tool bag and lever. It also comes with an 18 volt shared power supply that you simply have to click into each of the tools to power them up. There is no need to go looking for a power socket!

After watching the DVD manual I also discovered that if you lock the power supply into the case, along with the other tools, you can turn them into four cordless table tools. The lithium Ion battery charges really quickly and has no memory, which means that you don’t have to wait until it is fully exhausted before charging it again.

We have already used the Power 8 to do many of our DIY jobs around the house and both my husband and I find it really easy to use, as the tools are both lightweight and robust. The fact that it is cordless makes such a difference, as you don’t have to worry about tripping over wires or getting them tangled up. We are so pleased that we bought the Power 8 and have even recommended it to my dad, who has actually gone out and bought one to use at work!

When I picked my little boy Ross up from nursery the other day, all he wanted to talk about was Snuggle Uppets. I had never heard of them, but apparently they were a new toy that doubled up as both a friendly play puppet and a snuggly blanket. Apparently some of the other children at nursery had them, so Ross was eager to have his own too. Since he had been so well behaved over the past month, I decided to treat him to one of the Snuggle Uppets! When I looked on the website, I found that they were made from the same people who created Huggle Buddies, so I knew they were going to be just as good quality. There were six different characters to choose from including a bear, crocodile, monkey, dog, poodle and elephant. Ross chose the monkey, which I thought was perfect for his cheeky personality!

Since the Snuggle Uppet was delivered, Ross has carried it everywhere he goes. He loves to put on little puppet shows with his new cheeky monkey toy, letting his imagination run wild. To use the puppet all you have to do is slip your arm underneath the blanket and use your hand to control its mouth. He finds it especially funny at bed times when he is supposed to be going to sleep! Seeing as so many children at his nursery have Snuggle Uppets they are even putting on a little show in a couple of weeks’ time.

Not only does the Snuggle Uppet keep Ross entertained, but it is also great for comforting him at bed time and on long car journeys. The blanket is so soft, making it lovely to cosy up to and it provides extra warmth, on some of the more chilly nights! Another thing that will please mums’ is that it is completely machine washable. You can simply bung it into the machine to keep it squeaky clean! Ross loves his Snuggle Uppet and has already planned to put the elephant one on his Christmas list to Santa.

When my partner and I first moved into our rented home, we noticed that there were quite a few stains on the carpet in the living room. A year passed and as you can imagine, many more stains had appeared, so we thought it was about time we did something about it, seeing as the Landlord said they were not able to replace the carpet for the time being. My mum recommended that we purchased a Vapour Mop X700 as she had read great reviews about them online and also seen them on the shopping channel.

After doing my own research, I decided to purchase one, as it seemed such great value for money. Not only could it be used to clean carpets, but also upholstery, patios, decking and laminate floors! The multi-purpose Vapour Mop uses steam to sanitise, deodorise and clean surfaces, soaking up dirt and stains with its absorbent microfibre pads, which can be washed and reused. To clean my carpet all I had to do was fill the steam cleaner up with water and wait ten seconds for it to heat up. I was then able to move it easily over the carpet, getting right into all of the corners with the Vapour Mops triangular shaped head. I saw results within minutes and couldn’t believe how easy it was to remove the stains that had been on the carpet for so long!

I am so pleased that I bought the Vapour Mop X700 and have found that it works just as well on laminate floors as it does on the carpeted floors. This weekend I am going to use it to clean the patio outside, as it has needed washing for a while now. I really like the fact that this steam cleaner is eco-friendly and leaves my house feeling fresh, clean and bacteria-free!
